Parking

The Board regularly receives complaints regarding parking in the Village, including parking in the vicinity of the Mid-Rise buildings.  The Board recently approved the attached amendment to the Village Rules and Regulations to address some of these concerns. The amendments would seem to be self-explanatory. Also, the Board wishes to remind Mid-Rise and other Village residents of parking rules applicable to this area.  Although the Board does not believe that enforcement of parking rules on a daily basis is the best use of property management staff, the Board reserves the right to strictly enforce such restrictions fully at any time and without prior notice.

Parking in the Mid-Rise garage is a right extended to owners of Mid-Rise residents, with each Mid-Rise unit assigned to one space on the lower level and one space on the upper level of the garage. No other resident or visitor has the right to park in assigned or unassigned spaces in the garages except with the permission of owners of Mid-Rise units to which such spaces are assigned.

The designated visitor's spaces to the west and the south of the Mid-Rise garages are intended for the use of guests of Mid-Rise residents. Such spaces are not intended for use by other persons, including Mid-Rise or other Village residents.

The areas immediately adjacent to the front entrances of the Mid-Rises are intended to be used only in the active and continuous process of picking up and dropping off people and property at the Mid-Rise buildings. They are not to be used for parking vehicles for extended periods or for any other purpose. In the event of fire or medical emergency, fire and rescue vehicles would need these spaces for immediate access to these buildings.

Vehicles parked so as to obstruct ingress or egress to or from roadways or parking spaces of others, or so as to endanger the safety of any person, are subject to towing at the owner’s expense.
